A 20-year restoration project has transformed a 2,000-year-old historical network of ancient ruins, caves and tunnels into this luxury hotel, which features local materials, furnishings and craftsmanship across its 51 unique rooms and suites. 4. The Stay Warehouse, Alacati
Turkey’s first independent carbon-neutral hotel group The Stay Hotels operates a range of properties with a focus on sustainability, including this design-led, adult-only resort, a beautiful hideaway set in olive-tree lined gardens overlooking the Aegean on the Çeşme peninsula. Construction is of reclaimed and recycled materials, including wood and bricks from ancient Anatolian houses, and the resort is pursuing a range of sustainability initiatives to achieve its stated aim of zero waste.
