Four Seasons Riyadh to host plant-based pop-up

The dining experience is one of many on offer during the second edition of Riyadh Season

The Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh will be the official hospitality provider of this year’s Riyadh Season, a five-month festival of entertainment and culture beginning October 2021 and spanning Saudi Arabia’s capital.

More than 200 restaurants and 70 cafes are set to contribute to the festival. One of the featured culinary concepts at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh will be Folia by Matthew Kenney. The seasonal plant-based concept was created in collaboration with HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud’s KBW Ventures and will showcase Saudi ingredients.

Kenney has curated two six-course menus for the occasion centred on colourful pasta creations, such as cacio e pepe with kelp noodles and black olive, and a lasagne made with heirloom tomatoes, pistachio pesto and macadamia ricotta.

Commenting on the announcement, HRH said Prince Khaled said: “KBW Ventures is proud to present innovative, healthy dishes, curated by a culinary master in Riyadh, as part of the Kingdom’s celebration of hospitality and entertainment. On a personal level, the launch of Folia for Riyadh Season is truly the biggest moment in our collaboration with chef Kenney to date.”
