Bombardier reveals Elie Saab-designed Global 8000 aircraft
Luxury fashion house makes private aviation debut
Aviation manufacturer Bombardier has unveiled a new bespoke cabin design for its Global 8000 business jet in collaboration with Lebanese fashion house Elie Saab, marking a first-of-its-kind crossover between haute couture and business aviation.
The new interior was unveiled at Bombardier’s Aviator Lounge in Monaco during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in early June 2026.

Saab’s approach features a minimalist design with a warm-toned colour palette, expansive sightlines and natural light. The designer coordinated closely with Bombardier’s engineering teams to ensure the necessary aviation safety and performance requirements were met. The cabin is now available as an option for Global 8000 customers.
Elie Saab Jr, CEO of Elie Saab, said: “We approached this collaboration with a haute couture mindset, elevating every material and detail into a carefully curated expression of luxury, precision and design excellence.
“It is truly a new approach to private aviation, where travel becomes a seamless continuation of refined living.”
The Global 8000 aircraft has a range of up to 8,000 nautical miles (14,816km) and a top speed of Mach 0.95. Bombardier describes it as the world’s fastest business jet. The aircraft can accommodate up to 19 passengers and features four distinct living spaces, including a central lounge.
Previously, Elie Saab has expanded into the hospitality sector, including a branded hotel and residences in Switzerland’s Andermatt. Set to open in mid-2027, the property will feature 40 rooms and is billed as the brand’s first hotel development. Dubai-based Samana Developers has also partnered with Elie Saab on the interiors of a new AED 2.2 billion (US$600 million) resort in the Maldives, expected to open in 2029.
