DC-themed experiences join park lineup
Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi will expand its attractions portfolio with two new DC-themed experiences, adding to the indoor theme park’s superhero lineup on Yas Island.
Developer Miral said Kryptonite Collider will open on 26 July 2026, while Superman Up and Away is scheduled to launch in 2028. Both attractions are being developed with Warner Bros Discovery Global Experiences.
Kryptonite Collider is themed around Superman villain Lex Luthor and will feature a centrifuge-style ride vehicle accommodating up to 32 guests. Superman Up and Away will be a flying roller coaster that places riders in a face-down position as they travel through the fictional city of Metropolis.
The additions will expand the park’s DC Comics offering, which already includes attractions inspired by Superman, Batman and other comic book characters.
Jonathan Brown, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, said the additions mark “an exciting chapter in the continued evolution” of Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.

Opened in 2018, the attraction remains the region’s largest indoor theme park, featuring six themed lands inspired by DC superheroes and Warner Bros characters, alongside rides, live entertainment and family experiences.
Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi was recently named winner of the 2026 Liseberg Applause Award, becoming the first theme park in the Middle East to receive the industry honour.
The expansion follows continued growth for Yas Island, which recorded a 9% year-on-year rise in visits during summer 2025. Future developments include Disneyland Abu Dhabi, Disney’s first theme park in the Middle East, and Sphere Abu Dhabi, a US$1.7 billion entertainment venue scheduled to open in 2029.
Sports attractions are also being added to the island, with Topgolf Yas Island set to open later this year featuring 82 hitting bays, lounge areas and multiple dining venues.
