Luxury hotel chain Aman and Cruise Saudi to launch superyacht hotel

The 183-metre luxury yacht is set to welcome its first guests in 2025

Luxury hospitality operator Aman has made its foray into the cruise sector in partnership with Cruise Saudi.

Currently called Project Sama – sama means tranquility in Sanskrit – the operations and management of the 100-passenger vessel will be led by Aman. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is tasked with creating a yacht-appropriate version of Aman’s signature aesthetic.

The vessel will comprise spacious suites, each with its own private balcony, and offer several dining options, including an informal international all-day restaurant.

There will also be a Beach Club offering passengers direct access to the water via the yacht’s stern, an Aman Spa, a Japanese garden and two helipads

Commenting on the announcement, Aman chairman and chief executive Vlad Doronin said: “The announcement of Project Sama marks an exciting moment in Aman’s growth and evolution, as we not only continue to diversify our geographical portfolio on land, but also at sea, creating sanctuaries in unfrequented locations and continuing to reframe the concept of luxury hospitality.

“Project Sama will provide transformative experiences within the revered Aman setting and service, which is unlike any other yacht experience, ultimately creating a whole new category in on the water discovery.”
