Destination features the world’s largest swim-up bar
Royal Caribbean has introduced a new location to its growing portfolio of private destinations, the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island located in Nassau, The Bahamas. Launching at the end of 2025, it became the first property in the company’s new Royal Beach Club Collection and the second in The Bahamas, following Perfect Day at CocoCay island, which opened in 2019. Here’s what to expect at the first-of-its-kind beach club.
3 Distinct Zones
Located on the western end of Paradise Island, the beach club spans 17 acres and features three distinct neighbourhoods: Family Beach, Chill Beach and Party Cove.
Family Beach offers a variety of kid-friendly activities, including beach games and a pool designed with a sloped shallow end for easy entry. It also features the two-storey ‘Ultimate Family Cabana’, complete with a whirlpool, frozen drinks machine and slide.
With a white sand shoreline and a deep pool, Chill Beach will emit a more relaxed atmosphere and operate a selection of artisan huts stocked with local craftwork for souvenir hunters.

The final zone, Party Cove, is centred around The Floating Flamingo, the world’s largest swim-up bar, offering live music and entertainment. Here, a VIP party area will provide poolside bar service and elevated views over the cove.
Spanning the zones, multiple bars and three Paradise Grill restaurants will serve a wide selection of drinks and local cuisine, with dishes on menu including grilled shrimp skewers and fire engine fritters.
Access and Amenities
Travellers sailing on itineraries calling at Nassau will have the option to book a day excursion to the beach club by purchasing an all-inclusive pass. Transportation to and from the island will be provided via the cruise line’s water ferries.
The ticket will cover unlimited dining and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Guests can also book beach or poolside cabanas, day beds and party decks in advance. Amenities will include complimentary towels, WiFi, lockers and lounge chairs.
Travellers can choose from a range of Caribbean sailings departing from US ports including Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral in Florida; Cape Liberty in New Jersey; Galveston in Texas; and Baltimore in Maryland. Cruise durations range from three-night getaways on Utopia of the Seas to seven-night itineraries on Symphony of the Seas.
Ferries will be operated by local company Bahamas Transport Logistics
Development and Expansion
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island has been in the works since 2017 and was developed in partnership with the Bahamian government through a public-private agreement aimed at supporting local employment and economic growth.
Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, said: “The Royal Beach Club Collection is designed for every type of family and vacationer to get everything they want out of their ideal beach day – no matter the vibe they’re looking for.
“With the first-of-its-kind Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, we continue to super-serve our guests with a tailored experience at one of our most highly visited destinations, building on nearly five decades of collaboration with the community and government of The Bahamas.”
Royal Caribbean continues to grow its private destinations, with upcoming projects including Perfect Day at Mexico and Lelepa in Vanuatu, both scheduled for 2027. The Royal Beach Club Collection will also expand to Santorini in Greece and Cozumel in Mexico by 2026.
