How to book FIFA World Cup Match Day Shuttle flights

Qatar has partnered with several GCC carriers to facilitate travel to FIFA World Cup matches

With the aim of making travel to the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament more accessible and affordable, airlines across the Gulf have announced increased capacity on flights to Doha via Match Day Shuttle flights.

The services will transport football fans with match tickets to Doha for a game and return them on the same day, removing the need to book an overnight stay.

All ticket holders, including those based in Qatar, will need to register for their Fan ID and a Hayya Card, which is now available on the Qatar2022 website and the Hayya to Qatar 2022 smart phonemapp. Those travelling to Qatar must register for their Hayya Card before boarding their flight.

The Hayya Card will grant fans access to the stadiums and free transportation to and from the stadiums using the Doha metro, with trains travelling directly from Hamad International Airport.

The partnerships will see operations of more than 180 daily shuttle flights to Qatar. Here are the carriers operating services.

Air Arabia
In addition to its regular three daily flights, Air Arabia will operate 14 daily shuttle flights daily from Sharjah International Airport (which is just a 25-minute drive from Dubai International Airport) to Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. Passengers on board the shuttle flights will be entitled to 10kg of hand baggage each. Bookings for flights between Sharjah and Doha can be made through Air Arabia’s website, by calling the call centre or through travel agencies. www.airarabia.com
