Abu Dhabi's Story Hospitality joins Global Hotel Alliance

Abu Dhabi-based Story Hospitality has joined the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), giving guests access to a network of more than 1,000 hotels worldwide.

 

The partnership includes the launch of Story Discovery, connecting guests to the wider GHA Discovery platform. Through the complimentary platform, members can earn and redeem rewards across hotel stays, dining, wellness experiences and local attractions.

 

Rewards are earned and redeemed through Discovery Dollars (D$), with one D$ equivalent to US$1. Additional benefits are available through GHA Discovery’s tiered membership structure, including room upgrades, complimentary breakfast and late check-out. 

 

GHA’s loyalty programme currently has more than 35 million members across its global portfolio of hotels and partners. Meanwhile, Story Hospitality continues to expand its presence across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, with hotels across Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, the Maldives and Montenegro.

The agreement follows a strong year for GHA Discovery, which reported “exceptional growth” in 2025. The programme added 4 million new members last year, up from 3.2 million in 2024, while total membership rose to more than 34 million.

 

Revenues in 2025 also reached a record US$3.2 billion, marking a 21% year-on-year increase. Recent additions to the alliance include Rotana, which brought more than 70 hotels to the network and expanded GHA’s presence across the Middle East.
