Beachfront property adds 250 keys to coastal destination
Hospitality group Accor is expanding its footprint on Egypt’s Red Sea coast with the opening of Swissotel Resort El Quseir.
The resort is located around 85km from Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF), the closest international hub to the Red Sea town of El Quseir. The 250-key resort offers five accommodation categories, with rooms featuring private terraces or patios overlooking the lagoon, beach or gardens.
Dining spans six venues, offering a mix of regional and international cuisine. Key outlets include all-day dining at Shahrazade, Mediterranean dishes at Olivos, as well as Dolphins Pool Bar and Beach Bar. Meanwhile, wellness facilities include a spa with Ayurvedic therapies and massage treatments.

Raki Phillips, Accor’s Regional President for the Premium, Midscale and Economy division across the Middle East & Africa and Türkiye, said: “El Quseir is gaining relevance within this landscape, defined by a rare blend of untouched natural beauty and historical depth, making it a natural fit for Swissôtel’s contemporary wellness positioning.”
Elsewhere in the country, Accor is set to reposition Mövenpick El Gouna as Sofitel El Gouna Resort, in partnership with local entity Orascom Development Egypt.
Beyond its hotel portfolio, the hospitality group is expanding its loyalty offering regionally.
