Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to launch additional flights to second Amman airport

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will launch flights between Zayed International Airport (AUH) in the UAE and Amman Civil Airport (ADJ) in Jordan from 1 May 2026.

 

ADJ marks the second airport in Amman to Air Arabia’s network, after Queen Alia International Airport (AMM). 

 

The service will operate three times a week, with flights departing Abu Dhabi at 17:40 and arriving in Amman at 19:50. Return services will leave Amman at 20:30 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 00:30. Flights will run on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

 

The new route complements existing daily services to Queen Alia International Airport, increasing total connectivity between the capitals of the UAE and Jordan to 10 flights a week. Amman Civil Airport offers closer access to the city centre, providing an alternative entry point for travellers.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said: “By serving two airports in the capital, we aim to offer greater convenience while supporting travel, tourism and trade between the two countries.”

 

Amman is also accessible from the UAE via Air Arabia Group’s flights from Sharjah International Airport (SHJ).

 

The launch forms part of wider expansion across the Air Arabia Group. The airline recently confirmed the launch of daily flights between Sharjah and Rome from 1 July 2026, marking its first direct service to the Italian capital.

 

The group’s growth is supported by strong financial performance. Air Arabia reported a record net profit of AED1.8 billion (US$490 million) for 2025, up 14% year-on-year, while passenger traffic rose 16% to 21.8 million, supported by a 10% increase in capacity.
