UAE’s budget airline will operate double-daily service from 29 March 2026
Air Arabia is set to introduce the first-ever, non-stop route from Sharjah to London, providing UAE travellers with a new low-cost option to reach the UK capital. Flights will start from AED 999, with operations commencing on 29 March 2026.
Services will run on a double daily schedule from Sharjah International Airport (SHJ), Air Arabia’s main hub, to London Gatwick Airport (LGW), operated with the Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The first service will depart Sharjah at 13:45, landing in London at 18:35. The return flight leaves LGW at 19:35 and reaches SHJ at 05:50 the next day.
A second service will operate from Sharjah at 03:55, arriving in London at 08:45, with the inbound flight departing Gatwick at 10:05 and landing in Sharjah at 20:20.

Flying to more than 200 international destinations, the addition of London expands Air Arabia’s European network, which includes cities such as Munich, Vienna, Milan, Prague and Warsaw. London also remains a top destination for GCC tourists, with 76% of visitors from the region travelling to the city in 2023.
Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer, London Gatwick said: “Demand for flights to destinations across the Middle East has really taken off this year and we have been delighted to offer passengers across London and the South East an increasingly fantastic range of routes and choice of carriers.”
The new route also reinforces Sharjah airport’s position as a central hub for Air Arabia passengers in the GCC and beyond. The airport recently recorded its busiest quarter ever, reporting more than 5 million travellers in 2025’s third quarter. Facilities for passengers are also growing, with the recent addition of a home check-in service.
