Bookings are now open for Nile Seray, an A&K Sanctuary vessel and the newest addition to Abercrombie & Kent’s fleet of luxury riverboats on the Nile River. The 64-guest ship, featuring 32 elegantly appointed suites, is scheduled to launch in Egypt in October 2026.

Designed for immersive exploration along Africa’s longest river, Nile Seray will offer four-night itineraries between Aswan and Luxor, with fares starting from US$3,125 per person. The all-inclusive voyage will feature shore excursions, gourmet dinin and a range of onboard amenities, including two restaurants and a top-deck swimming pool.

The vessel’s debut comes as Egypt experiences renewed interest in luxury cruising, spurred by the much-anticipated opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in November 2025, now the world’s largest archaeological museum. In the first nine months of 2025, Egypt welcomed 15 million tourists, marking a 21% year-on-year increase, with GCC bookings to the country climbing 12% in the last year, according to Wego.

Backed by nearly five decades of expertise in Nile cruising, A&K has designed Nile Seray to serve as an elevated river sanctuary for guests exploring the country’s ancient wonders. Daily guided tours will include visits to Luxor and Karnak temples, Aswan’s cultural landmarks and Egypt’s celebrated tombs on the West Bank, with private access to the tombs of King Tutankhamun and Amenhotep III. Each excursion will be led by expert A&K Egyptologists.

Enhancing the cultural immersion, the itinerary also includes felucca sailing around Elephantine Island, Egyptian cooking classes and traditional evening entertainment.

Newly unveiled renderings showcase the vessel’s interiors, which combine contemporary elegance with locally inspired craftsmanship. Suites feature clean lines, neutral tones and natural materials that echo Egypt’s desert palette, complemented by handcrafted detailing from regional artisans. Spacious floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic river views, while the top deck offers a tranquil retreat with canopied daybeds and an infinity-style pool.

The ship’s two restaurants will blur the boundaries between indoor and al fresco dining, offering menus inspired by both Egyptian flavours and international cuisine.

Every voyage aboard Nile Seray supports A&K Philanthropy initiatives, including long-standing partnerships with the Funtasia After School Program in Luxor and the Aswan Heart Centre, which delivers lifesaving cardiac care to underserved communities.

Nile Seray joins A&K Sanctuary’s existing fleet of luxury Nile riverboats – Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV and Zein Nile Chateau – and a sister ship is expected to launch in 2028.

As demand for high-end cruising along the Nile continues to soar, other luxury players are also expanding their presence in Egypt. Starting late 2025, Oberoi will introduce four- and six-night sailings aboard two refined dahabeahs, while the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, launching in late 2026, will offer curated four- and six-night itineraries between Luxor and Aswan.
