Former Urban Resort Concepts executive joins corporate team
Luxury hospitality brand Aman Group has appointed Victor Clavell as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Based out of Aman’s Switzerland corporate office, Clavell will oversee the company’s global operations, focusing on guest experience and financial performance across all its brands, including Janu. He will work alongside the Chairman to support the company’s expansion strategy across hotels, branded residences and lifestyle ventures.
Clavell joins the company from Urban Resort Concepts, where he served as the Chief Executive Officer in Hong Kong, leading the repositioning and expansion of The PuLi Group worldwide.
With more than three decades of experience, Clavell has worked across several international markets including the Middle East, Europe and Asia Pacific. He has held senior leadership roles across major hospitality groups including Amaala, Marriott International, Rosewood Hotel Group and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Clavell’s appointment follows recent new ventures for the company, including breaking ground on its upcoming waterfront destination, Aman Dubai. Situated in Dubai Peninsula, the ultra-luxury development will feature a beach, park, marina and promenade with retail and dining. The nine-acre project is scheduled to open in 2027.
Aman Group is also expanding into the luxury maritime sector with Aman at Sea, launching yacht sailings across the Mediterranean and Caribbean in 2027. The itineraries will be operated by the Amangati yacht, which will accommodate up to 94 guests and feature multiple dining venues and onboard facilities, including the Aman Spa, jazz club, cinema, youth lounge and private marina.
