Atlantis The Royal appoints new VP of hotel operations

Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal has promoted Daniel Worsley from Executive Director to Vice President of Hotel Operations, marking his seventh year with the Atlantis Dubai hospitality group. 

Originally from Australia, Worsley brings more than 20 years of industry experience across international markets. He began his career as a Guest Service Agent with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts before moving to The Star Entertainment Group, where he held several senior leadership positions, including Executive Assistant Manager. 

During his tenure, he played a key role in securing a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for the group, making the property among the first in Australia to earn the distinction.

Worsley entered Dubai’s hospitality market in 2019 as Director of Resort Operations at Atlantis, The Palm. Since then, he has led initiatives that strengthened commercial performance, accelerated revenue growth and enhanced guest service standards, leading to a series of promotions across Atlantis Dubai’s flagship properties. He was also part of the pre-opening team for Atlantis The Royal from 2020 to 2022, helping shape the framework for guest accommodations. 

In his latest role as Executive Director, Worsley continued to oversee the Rooms Division, with a focus on personalised services. Known for his people-first approach, he continues to mentor and empower his team to deliver excellence across all areas of operation. 

Worsley’s appointment follows a milestone year for Atlantis Dubai, which recently received multiple wins in the 2026 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards. Atlantis, The Royal became the first ’triple-five’ property in the Middle East and Africa, earning five-star ratings for its hotel, Awaken Wellness Spa and restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
