Azamara Cruises to launch global golf sailings

Azamara Cruises will launch a series of golf-focused voyages in partnership with luxury golf travel specialist Premier Golf, offering guests access to global courses from 2028.

The collection will comprise 23 sailings, combining rounds at renowned courses including Valderrama in Spain, Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, Kingsbarns in Scotland, Tokyo Golf Club in Japan and Old Head Golf Links in Ireland with longer stays in port. Each itinerary will also feature a certified PGA golf coach on board, social events and curated shore experiences. Optional resort stays will allow guests to add extra golf experiences before or after sailing. 

Travel advisors will receive 10% commission on Premier Golf packages booked through the programme. Azamara and Premier Golf will also introduce dedicated training through the Azamara World Academy, giving advisors specialist resources to help sell the new golf voyages.

The announcement follows the launch of Azamara’s 2027 overland programme, which allows guests to extend selected cruises with two- to five-day land journeys across Asia, Africa, South America and the South Pacific. Highlights include Cambodia, Bora Bora and Peru, with packages including accommodation, transfers, guided tours and selected flights where required.

The cruise line has also unveiled its 2027 Alaska Cruisetours, combining voyages with land journeys across Alaska and Western Canada. Operating from June to August 2027, the itineraries mark Azamara’s return to Alaska after a seven-year absence.
