Barceló expands UAE portfolio with new Dubai hotel
Four-star property in Business Bay includes a rooftop pool and sports bar
Barceló Hotel Group has strengthened its presence in the UAE with the debut of Barceló Business Bay Dubai, a new four-star lifestyle property in the heart of the city.
The opening marks the group’s third hotel in Dubai and fourth in the UAE.
Located moments from Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, the contemporary hotel features 230 rooms designed to accommodate business travellers, couples and families.
Guests can choose from several dining options, including a restaurant blending local flavours with international cuisine, a vibrant sports bar and an outdoor shisha venue.
Facilities include a rooftop pool on the third floor, a wellness area offering signature treatments and a fully equipped gym.
Barceló Hotel Group operates the new property under a management agreement following its acquisition by a European investment group.
The launch comes shortly after the rebranding of Dubai’s Occidental Al Jaddaf as Barceló Al Jaddaf in June, which elevated the property to five-star status. The revamped hotel now features 365 rooms and suites, new dining experiences, a pool, a gym and a Dreamworks Spa.

Commenting on the continued expansion, José Canals, Chief Operations Officer for the Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia at Barceló Hotel Group, said Dubai offers “extraordinary dynamism and continuous reinvention,” making it an ideal hub for the brand’s regional growth.
With more than 20 properties operating across five countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Barceló continues to expand its footprint.
Following the launch of Barceló Hotel Bahrain in May, the group is preparing to open new properties in Oman and Saudi Arabia later this year, alongside its recent debut in the Maldives with Malé’s first five-star resort.
