Premium airline now flies from Milan to RSI to serve luxury destinations
All-business-class boutique airline Beond has become the first carrier to connect Europe to Red Sea International (RSI), the gateway to The Red Sea destination in Saudi Arabia.
Announced during Tourise in Riyadh, the new service operates twice weekly between Milan Malpensa (MXP) and RSI, continuing onwards to the airline’s home base in the Maldives.
Flights depart Milan every Wednesday and Sunday at 22:20, arriving in Saudi Arabia at 05:00 the following morning. Return services leave RSI at 18:00 and land in Milan at 21:20 local time. The all-premium A320 service offers lie-flat seating throughout the cabin and a curated gourmet dining experience.
The launch positions The Red Sea, home to luxury resorts including Shebara and Desert Rock, on a growing network linking Europe’s high-end travellers with key Indian Ocean destinations.
Dubai-headquartered Beond already operates direct flights from Riyadh to Malé and connects the Maldives to European cities such as Munich, Zurich and Milan via Dubai in the UAE.

Earlier this year, Beond said it would launch 18 new destinations – including India and Asia – from the Maldives, tripling its existing network, with some starting this year.
The first direct flight to RSI from Europe is the latest milestone for the airport which last month welcomed Qatar Airways flights from Doha and has a long-established service from Flydubai, as well as domestic services from Saudia.
As well as being the gateway for The Red Sea, which has nine luxury resorts open, RSI will also serve wellness destination AMAALA, with six resorts set to open in the coming months, plus a signature yacht club and marine life institute.
“The launch of this direct route from Milan marks a defining moment for Red Sea Global and our destinations,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global.
