Crystal introduces crew recreation area on Crystal Grace

Crystal Cruises has introduced a dedicated recreation area for crew members aboard Crystal Grace, ahead of the ship’s June 2028 debut. The new area was unveiled on 22 May 2026, in recognition of National Maritime Day. 

Spanning 1,582 square feet, the crew-only space will accommodate up to 100 members and is located on Deck 12 of Crystal Grace. Exclusive facilities reserved for crew members will include a gym, lounge, bar, sun loungers, jacuzzi and a convenience store. Indoor social spaces feature 74 seats while the gym operates 24 hours with Technogym equipment. On Deck 3, two crew dining areas will also be added.

Othmar Hehli, Director of Fleet Human Resources, said: “The goal was to create a space that is welcoming, practical and truly theirs, while also reflecting Crystal’s commitment to supporting the people who make our guest experience possible.”

Crystal Grace, which is scheduled for delivery in May 2028, will mark the line’s first new build in 25 years and is under the ownership of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group (AKTG). The ship can accommodate up to 650 guests and will feature the line’s first-ever Owner’s Suite. 

Dining venues will include steakhouse Beefbar, Japanese-Peruvian concept Umi Uma and Osteria d’Ovidio led by Michelin-lauded chef Massimiliano. Bookings for the inaugural 2028 season opened in April 2026.  

The inaugural sailing will travel across several countries in the Mediterranean including Italy, Greece, Croatia and Montenegro. In September 2028, the ship will reposition to North America ahead of autumn voyages across the New England region in US and Eastern Canadian cities such as Quebec City and Charlottetown.
