Crystal named top midsize-ship ocean cruise line

Crystal Cruises has been recognised as the top midsize-ship ocean cruise line in the 2026 Travel + Leisure World’s Best  Awards readers’ survey for a second consecutive year. 

 

The rankings are based on reader feedback covering cabins, service, facilities, dining, itineraries, shore excursions and overall cruise value. Crystal has featured among the top-ranked cruise lines since the awards launched in 1995.

Bernie Leypold, SVP Hotel Operations for Crystal, added that being recognised for a second straight year reaffirms that cruise line’s "vision is resonating with travellers around the world". 

 

The recognition follows Crystal’s recent relaunch in 2023 under Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group (AKTG), renewing the brand’s focus on the luxury ocean cruise segment. 

 

Earlier in the year, Cyprus-based travel company Century Travel Group was recognised as the Top Producer EMEA award for Crystal Cruises at the AKTG 100 Club 2026. The organisation serves as the line’s official representative for the Middle East region. 

The award comes as Crystal prepares to launch Crystal Grace in 2028. The 650-passenger vessel, the brand’s first new-build in 25 years, will introduce several new concepts, including Crystal’s first Owner’s Suite and The Bistro restaurant.
