Development features region’s first floating walkway
Dubai has reopened Khor Al Mamzar Beach following a major upgrade that includes the region’s first floating walkway and a new 300-metre night beach operating 24/7. The project marks the first phase of the wider Al Mamzar Beaches development.
Located in Northern Dubai, the 2.75 million square foot development includes an expanded beachfront spanning 182,000 square metres, a 3.6-kilometre swimming shoreline and 20 public facilities. Visitors will find an outdoor gym, volleyball court, padel courts, playgrounds, water sports activities and 19 F&B venues.
Safety infrastructure has also expanded, with 12 lifeguard towers and 12 emergency call points introduced, increasing safety systems across the destination by 340%.

Dubai Municipality said the wider Al Mamzar Beaches development is projected to attract 7 million visitors annually following completion of the second phase at Al Mamzar Corniche.
Opened under the directives of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the project forms part of the emirate’s long-term strategy to expand public beaches and improve liveability under the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
Enhancements to Al Mamzar Beaches are part of a wider AED3 billion scheme to upgrade public spaces along Dubai’s coastline, including planned developments at Jumeirah 2, Umm Suqeim 1 and 2 and Jebel Ali Beach.
