Emirates airline increases Ghana flights

Emirates will introduce four additional weekly services between Dubai and Accra from 12 July 2026, increasing its Ghana operation to 11 weekly flights as demand for travel between the UAE and West Africa continues to grow.

 

The new Boeing 777-300ER service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The outbound flight will depart Dubai International (DXB) at 03:30 and arrive in Kotoka International Airport (ACC) at 07:40, while the inbound service will leave Accra at 10:25 and land in Dubai at 22:40. 

 

The schedule has been timed to improve onward connections via Dubai, linking Accra with destinations including Beijing, Seoul, Sydney, Perth, Mumbai, Singapore, New York and Jeddah, while making it easier for travellers from Delhi, Boston, Los Angeles, Germany and the UK to reach Ghana.

Salem Almana, Emirates’ Country Manager for Ghana, said: “The introduction of four additional weekly services reflects the sustained demand we continue to see on the Accra route. The expanded schedule will provide our customers with greater flexibility while strengthening connectivity through Dubai to destinations across our global network.”

 

Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER offers eight private First Class suites, 42 lie-flat Business Class seats and 304 Economy Class seats. The aircraft also features regionally inspired dining and Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system, offering up to 6,500 channels in more than 40 languages, including Ghanaian content.

 

Earlier this month, the carrier introduced comprehensive travel insurance for international passengers, including complimentary medical cover and additional support during unexpected operational disruptions affecting journeys through Dubai. 

 

The airline also recently reported a record annual profit of AED22.8 billion (US$6.2 billion) for the year ended 31 March 2026, the highest in its history.
