Emirates’ next-gen airport lounges to cost US$13.6m each

Emirates will introduce a range of next-generation airport lounge concepts across several cities in 2026, investing AED50 million (US$13.6 million) in each location, with upgrades focused on comfort, productivity and dining.

The new signature lounge design has already been unveiled in Frankfurt and Munich, with additional openings planned in Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul over the coming months. 

Frankfurt’s lounge updates also follow Emirates’ recent shift to the airport’s new redesigned Terminal 3 in April 2026, and the hub’s recent win at the 2026 Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports.

The lounges draw inspiration from Emirates’ refurbished cabin interiors, with marble and gold finishes, herringbone flooring and the airline’s signature backlit Ghaf Tree motif.

Facilities include private workspaces, communal seating areas, wireless charging, universal power outlets and redesigned dining spaces centred around live cooking stations. Guests can choose from international and local cuisine, alongside speciality coffee, tea and curated beverages.

Wellness features include upgraded shower suites, spa-inspired finishes, quiet zones with blankets and eye masks, as well as prayer rooms, breastfeeding facilities and private meeting spaces.
