All-villa mountain property will launch in December 2026
Envi Lodges is expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia, with the launch of Envi Al Shafa, a new wellness-led nature retreat in the mountainous Taif region. Set to open in December 2026, the property marks the eco-luxury group’s second project in the kingdom, following Envi Al Nakheel, also set to open later this year.
Perched more than 2,000 metres above sea level, Envi Al Shafa will offer guests cool year-round temperatures and sweeping views across Taif’s valleys. The lodge will feature 35 villas in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, designed to blend with the natural surroundings.
The lodge features a private lounge adjacent to an outdoor terrace restaurant specialising in open-flame grill dishes. A dedicated cooking studio experience will host hands-on experiences focused on regional recipes, nutrition-centered cuisine and farm-to-table concepts. The retreat will also include an entertainment hub offering activities such as pottery workshops.
Wellness remains central to the brand’s philosophy, and Envi spa will offer tailored programmes for all ages, including longevity therapies and rejuvenation treatments for adults, alongside mindfulness sessions for children. The focus on wellbeing supports Saudi’s tourism strategy, which aims to grow the kingdom’s wellness tourism market to SAR26 billion by 2030.
Located within easy reach of Mecca and Jeddah, Envi Al Shafa will cater to both domestic and international travellers seeking a restorative nature-based escape.

Commenting on the new opening, Chris Nader, Co-Founder of Envi Lodges, said: “Envi Al Shafa is going to be one of the first high altitude wellness lodges in the Kingdom. It’s a sanctuary in the clouds, a multi-generational wellbeing experience at 2,000m above sea level.
“This project perfectly aligns with our mission to create immersive escapes and adds to the growing momentum behind Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.”
Elsewhere in the GCC, Envi will make its debut in Oman, with two upcoming projects in 2026, Envi Al Sifah and Envi Al Jabel Al Akhdar. The group will also expand in Tanzania with two additional lodges — Envi Paje in 2026 and Envi Kili in 2027 — bringing its African portfolio to a total of five properties.
