Etihad Airways increases flights across 5 routes

Etihad Airways is expanding flights across five routes amid strong passenger demand, adding services to Dhaka, Brussels and Kraków, alongside seasonal extensions for Zanzibar and Palma de Mallorca.

The Abu Dhabi–Dhaka route, which launched on 26 June 2026 with a sold-out inaugural flight, will now operate year round with four weekly Boeing 777 services, supporting demand from the UAE’s large Bangladeshi community. The route offers 28 Business and 374 Economy seats on each flight.

From 27 July, Etihad will increase Abu Dhabi–Kraków services from three to four flights a week. Brussels flights will rise from seven to 11 weekly services from 15 December 2026, with four additional Airbus A321LR flights featuring First, Business and Economy cabins, providing more choice for travellers.

Seasonal services have also been extended, with Zanzibar flights continuing until 31 March 2027, instead of ending in September, while Palma de Mallorca services will now operate until 18 October 2026, growing access to one of the Mediterranean’s most popular leisure destinations later into the autumn.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said: “The response from our guests has exceeded our expectations, with strong demand across very different markets, from Brussels and Dhaka to Kraków, Zanzibar and Palma, and we’re responding by adding capacity where demand is strongest.”

The expansion comes as Etihad continues rebuilding its network following earlier disruption caused by the Iran conflict. The airline recently partnered with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) to introduce complimentary medical travel insurance for eligible international visitors travelling to or transiting through Abu Dhabi.
