Partnership expands travel options on the Abu Dhabi-Tunis route
Etihad, the UAE’s national carrier, has signed a codeshare agreement with Tunisair, expanding travel options between the GCC region and North Africa. Under the partnership, Etihad guests can book seats on Tunisair-operated flights, while Tunisair passengers gain access to Etihad’s global network of more than 500 destinations through its 40 partner airlines.
Flights under the new agreement include Etihad’s latest Abu Dhabi–Tunis service, launched on 1 November 2025. The route operates three times a week on an Airbus A321LR, featuring three cabin classes. Passengers can book Etihad-operated flights under either airline’s code, with all itineraries issued on a single ticket, including one check-in and automatic baggage transfers to final destinations.

Commenting on the partnership, Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer at Etihad Airways, said: "We’re seeing strong interest from the region in what Abu Dhabi offers, from business opportunities and trade links to tourism and family connections. This codeshare gives Tunisair’s customers access to our service and product, making Abu Dhabi an easier destination to reach."
Etihad continues to expand its footprint in Europe and North Africa, with new non-stop services to Luxembourg beginning 29 October 2026, operating three times a week from Abu Dhabi.
The airline was also recently named the world’s safest airline, becoming the first Gulf carrier to achieve the number-one ranking by AirlineRatings.com, which cited its advanced fleet, crash-free history and low incident rate per flight.
