Thrice-weekly service to connect GCC travellers to Spain’s Balearic Islands from June 2026

Etihad Airways will launch flights from Abu Dhabi to Palma de Mallorca in June 2026, becoming the first airline to directly link the UAE with the capital of Spain’s Balearic Islands.
Starting 12 June and running to mid-September, the seasonal service will operate three times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, opening a new gateway for GCC holidaymakers heading to Mallorca, Ibiza and the surrounding islands.
The route will be served by the Middle East’s first Airbus A321LR, recently introduced to Etihad’s fleet and configured with wide-body-style premium cabins, including flat-bed First Class suites with closing doors.
Departing Zayed International Airport (AUH) at 02:55, the morning flight will land in Palma (PMI) at 08:15, with the return service leaving PMI at 10:30 and arriving back in AUH at 19:00.
