French footballer leads campaign as brand expands health and fitness offering
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has launched a new global campaign, ‘Wellness Without Walls’, appointing French footballer Kylian Mbappé as its first-ever Wellness Ambassador.
The launch is supported by a brand film featuring Mbappé, highlighting performance and recovery as part of the brand’s evolving wellness strategy.
“As an athlete, recovery and balance are crucial, and I experience this commitment during every stay. With Fairmont, it’s possible to maintain your routine even when travelling without feeling forced,” said Mbappé.

Claudia Kozma Kaplan, Chief Brand Officer at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said the initiative reflects growing demand from luxury travellers, with the brand shifting beyond traditional spa and fitness spaces to offer more flexible, integrated wellbeing experiences across its global portfolio.
“Guests can effortlessly maintain their well-being routine while travelling, however they personally define it, be it for a guest with the discipline of an elite athlete or someone who prefers a more leisurely amble by bicycle with friends,” she added.
The campaign’s ‘No Excuses’ tagline reinforces the brand’s commitment to enabling guests to maintain their fitness routines while travelling, whether through performance-led training or more lifestyle-driven activities.
As part of the campaign, Fairmont is introducing curated wellness experiences across its worldwide properties, including cold immersion in Lake Louise, Canada; hydrotherapy in the Costa del Sol, Spain; bathhouse experiences in Hanoi, Vietnam, and a Nike gear lending programme for guests.
The move comes as more hotels are introducing wellness ambassadors to their brand. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group recently appointed Simone Biles as its first Global Wellness Ambassador, rolling out experiences inspired by the acclaimed gymnast at Mandarin Oriental Milan.
Wellness tourism is growing exponentially in recent years, with the UAE emerging as a key market within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As of late 2025, the UAE’s wellness sector is valued at US$34.1 billion (AED125.2 billion) after growing by nearly 60% between 2019 and 2023.
