Flynas launches Riyadh–Alexandria flights

Saudi low-cost carrier Flynas has launched new direct services between Riyadh and Alexandria, strengthening air connectivity between the kingdom and Egypt. 

The airline will operate three weekly flights between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and Alexandria International Airport (ALY) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays using an Airbus A320. Flights depart Riyadh at 17:55, arriving at 20:50, while the return service leaves ALY at 21:40 and lands in RUH at 00:40 the following day.

Located on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast, Alexandria is the country’s second-largest city and main seaport. Attractions include the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and the Roman Amphitheatre of Alexandria.

Elsewhere in Egypt, Flynas offers flights to Assiut, Cairo, El-Alamein and Sohag, alongside seasonal services to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Globally, the airline operates more than 2,000 weekly flights to 80 international destinations. 

The carrier continues to expand its network, most recently introducing three new destinations to its summer 2026 network: Rome, Munich and Budapest. As part of its wider programming, Flynas operates seasonal flights to more than 25 destinations across Europe, Africa and Asia from multiple cities in the kingdom, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah. 

The airline’s expansion aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives of growing tourism to the kingdom through the expansion of international routes and increased availability of flight options.
