Newly rebranded Holiday Inn debuts in Jumeirah Village Circle
IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened a new Holiday Inn Dubai Village Circle hotel, marking the group’s 30th property in the city. The launch follows a rebranding of the former Hotel Avalon, carried out in partnership with UAE’s First Group Hospitality.
Centrally located within the Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) community, the new hotel features 349 rooms designed with contemporary interiors. Guest facilities comprise a pool, fitness centre and wellness spaces. Meanwhile, dining options include an all-day restaurant, Urban Eatery and Risen Café & Artisanal Bakery.
Families are also catered for, with Holiday Inn’s policy of free stays and meals for kids under 12.
Further enhancing guest experiences, the hotel provides access to exclusive rates at First Group Hospitality’s Soluna Restaurants & Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah, complete with complimentary shuttle services.

Commenting on the hotel’s new brand identity, Onur Avkan, General Manager of Holiday Inn Dubai Village Circle, said: “We’ve reimagined what guests loved about Hotel Avalon, infusing it with a renewed sense of style and comfort under the Holiday Inn brand.
“Now part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, our goal is to create a welcoming destination that feels modern, connected to Dubai’s vibrant character, and truly like home.”
IHG and First Group Hospitality’s partnership continues to evolve, as the two entities recently unveiled the world’s tallest hotel, Ciel Dubai Marina. First announced in 2024, the hotel has a height of 377 metres and occupies 82 floors, featuring 1,042 rooms.
Elsewhere in Dubai, First Group Hospitality is advancing a series of hotel rebrands, including three properties under Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio and Autograph Collection brands. Extending its footprint beyond Dubai, the group is set to manage the forthcoming Radisson Red hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, scheduled to open in 2027.
