New tool tracks admission prices across regional attractions
Data intelligence consultancy Katalyst has launched the GCC Leisure Price Benchmark, a new tool that provides a standardised view of admission pricing across leisure attractions in the Gulf, as operators respond to shifting demand with increasingly divergent commercial strategies.
The benchmark tracks adult and child ticket pricing, published reference prices and historical data across regional attractions, providing a structured view of the competitive landscape. Updated monthly, it is designed to track how pricing strategies evolve over time.
Katalyst’s latest findings highlight several shifts across the GCC leisure market. In the UAE, approximately 40% of tracked attractions now offer dedicated resident pricing, indicating a growing focus on local demand.

Pricing strategies are also diverging across attraction types, with water parks raising prices ahead of summer while operators more exposed to tourism demand are adjusting downward through price reductions, lower-priced products or tactical promotions. The data suggests operators are moving in different directions, with some focused on maintaining revenue per ticket, others on keeping visitor numbers up, and others on attracting more residents.
The findings point to pricing becoming a more active part of how operators manage their business, with tracking over time revealing shifts in commercial posture, demand sensitivity and market confidence that individual price points alone do not capture.
Emmanuel Cholley Duché, co-founder of Katalyst, said: “Pricing is one of the key indicators of how operators interpret market signals. What we observe today is not a uniform reaction, but a set of distinct strategies reflecting different exposure to demand segments and different commercial priorities.”
The public version of the GCC Leisure Price Benchmark is available on request via Katalyst’s website.
