Waterfront property will feature 74 overwater chalets and a ladies-only beach club
Kerten Hospitality is expanding its footprint across Saudi Arabia with the signing of Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort – Dammam, a new waterfront property in the kingdom’s eastern province.
Developed in partnership with Saudi-based Koushan Real Estate Development, the resort will feature 74 overwater chalets, introducing a new accommodation concept to Dammam. Among its key highlights will be Nyssa Beach, a ladies-only beach club offering wellness and fitness facilities, salon services and curated workspaces. The resort’s design will be led by Saudi architect Dr Zuhair Hamed Fayez.
The Dammam resort adds to Kerten Hospitality’s growing Saudi portfolio, which spans a mix of operational and upcoming properties across Riyadh, Jeddah, Taif, Abha, Yanbu, AlUla and Al Ahsa.
Many of these developments are part of The Collective by Kerten Hospitality, a collaborative platform launched with the Saudi Ministry of Tourism to unite the brand’s hotels and residences under a single identity. The Collective, valued at more than SAR1.5 billion (AED1.47 billion), aims to promote sustainable tourism, develop lifestyle hospitality and support local communities in line with the kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Marwan Al Qaydy, CEO of Koushan Real Estate Development Company, said the development would bring to life one of Dammam’s "most iconic" mixed-use destinations.
He added: “As a self-contained island, it is designed as a vibrant hub where hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle, and leisure seamlessly come together on a single world-class waterfront, redefining premium coastal hospitality in the Eastern Province.”
Kerten Hospitality’s expansion builds on the success of its award-winning developments such as the Dar Tantora The House Hotel in AlUla, recognised by Time magazine as one of the top 100 ‘World’s Greatest Places’ in 2024.
The launch of Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort comes as Dammam undergoes significant development to attract more visitors. Recent projects include Dammam Global City, a newly opened tourist destination with floating markets and country pavilions, alongside renovations to the city’s corniche.
