Kuwait Airways launches Mykonos flights

Kuwait Airways has launched twice-weekly flights between Kuwait International Airport (KWI) and Mykonos International Airport (JMK), adding the Greek island to its summer network. 

 

The new seasonal service operates on Sundays and Thursdays. The outbound flight departs Kuwait at 10:00 and arrives in Mykonos at 14:00, while the return service leaves Mykonos at 17:05 and lands back in Kuwait at 20:40.

 

Flights take around four hours, with return fares starting from approximately KD145 (US$475).

 

Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al Shatti said the new route supports Kuwait Airways’ strategy to expand its seasonal network and offer travellers a wider choice of leisure destinations during the summer travel period, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Mykonos becomes Kuwait Airways’ second destination in Greece alongside Athens, further expanding the airline’s Mediterranean leisure offering for the summer season. 

 

The new service forms part of Kuwait Airways’ summer expansion announced in May 2026, when the airline unveiled flights to 12 seasonal destinations. Alongside the Greek island, the network includes Alexandria and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malaga in Spain, Salalah in Oman, Nice in France, Vienna in Austria, Antalya, Bodrum and Trabzon in Türkiye and Zurich in Switzerland.

 

The expansion comes as Kuwait Airways continues rebuilding its network following the phased resumption of operations after regional airspace disruption linked to the Iran conflict impacted local operations.
