Kuwait lifts Covid-19 restrictions for vaccinated people

Social gatherings are now permitted but attendees must be fully vaccinated

Kuwaiti prime minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has announced at a press conference on Wednesday 20 October that the country has lifted all Covid-19 restrictions for vaccinated people with immediate effect.

The latest easing of regulations includes permitting conferences, weddings and other social events to take place, provided that attendance is limited to those who have been fully vaccinated.

As the recorded cases of coronavirus have steadily declined, the Gulf country has been witnessing a gradual return to normal life, and Kuwait Airport will resume operating at full capacity from 24 October 2021.

Wearing masks remains mandatory in public places.
