Secluded four-bedroom beachfront retreat combines light-filled spaces and natural textures
Velaa Private Island in the Maldives has unveiled a redesign of its Kuredhi Residence, a secluded four-bedroom beachfront retreat reimagined by London-based Winch Design.
Set on a stretch of white sand amid tropical greenery on a private island in the Noonu Atoll, the resort is a 45-minute seaplane journey from Malé.
One of 47 villas, houses and residences offering dedicated butler service, the Kuredhi Residence has been refreshed with a design that blends natural textures, soft coastal tones and expansive, light-filled spaces.
Floor-to-ceiling windows and high, beamed ceilings immerse guests in the island landscape, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living.
At the heart of the residence, which accommodates up to 10 people, lies an open-plan living area that extends to a private terrace, featuring an infinity pool, hot-tub cabana and open-air dining area with sculpted wood furniture and artisan-crafted finishes.
Natural woods, soft linens and organic finishes carry through the interiors, complemented by shell-inspired textured lacquers, patinated metals and woven raffia details that reflect the natural surroundings.
A curated collection of furnishings and artworks completes the design.
