Partnership with Sunrise Resorts & Cruises to include Anantara debut and River Nile cruises
Minor Hotels and Sunrise Resorts & Cruises have partnered in a joint venture which aims to open and manage 50 properties across Egypt in the next 10 years.
The new hotels will include the debut in Egypt of flagship luxury brand Anantara Hotels & Resorts with developments planned in Cairo, Azha Ras El Hekma on the north Mediterranean coast and Azha Ain Al Sokhna on the Red Sea.
Minor will also draw on its experience in river cruises in Asia to deliver River Nile cruises, a speciality of Sunrise which operates seven Nile cruise ships in addition to 27 resorts.
The joint venture aims to take advantage of Egypt’s growing tourism sector, with hotspots such as Cairo, Giza and Sharm El Sheikh being joined by a new generation of destinations.
