New openings in the UAE, Oman and Bahrain include the luxury Anantara brand
Minor Hotels will add four new properties in the GCC in 2026, as part of a wider pipeline of 11 new and revamped destinations across Africa, Europe and Asia. The regional openings span the UAE, Oman and Bahrain, introducing three of the group’s brands to new audiences and marking its debut in Bahrain with both Avani and Tivoli.
The growth comes as Minor Hotels accelerates its expansion strategy, targeting around 50 additional properties in the Middle East by 2027, with some 30 planned for Saudi Arabia alone.
In Dubai, Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel will reopen in Q1 2026 following a complete renovation. The hotel’s 252 accommodations range from 52-square-metre rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows to 235-square-metre suites with private balconies and plunge pools. The hotel is located just 10 minutes from Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa.
Set to open in Q2 2026, Tivoli La Vie Muscat Hotel will introduce the Tivoli brand to the Omani capital. The property will offer 79 rooms and 100 fully serviced branded residences, combining design inspired by Oman’s cultural heritage with contemporary finishes aimed at long-stay guests and city residents.
There will be three dining venues, including a SEEN rooftop restaurant and bar, pitched as a late-night hotspot in Muscat, plus an Anantara Spa, rooftop pool and flexible event spaces.

In Bahrain, Minor Hotels will open two adjacent properties in Q4 2026 at Bilaj Al Jazayer, the kingdom’s newest beachfront destination. The luxury Tivoli resort will feature 100 rooms and suites, blending Arabian-inspired design with the brand’s classic aesthetic, while the neighbouring Avani resort will offer 110 rooms and suites with a focus on contemporary style and digital-first connectivity.
Guests at both properties will have direct beach access, a choice of dining concepts and shared wellness and leisure facilities, alongside dedicated family-friendly amenities.
Outside the Middle East, Minor Hotels will also open its first Anantara tented camp in Zambia’s Kafue National Park, featuring 10 villas and three suites in one of the country’s largest and oldest protected areas.
In Europe, the group is planning two NH Collection hotels in Paris and Sliema, Malta, while across Asia, four projects are in the pipeline, including a relaunch of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel following a major transformation and a new Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Resort in Sichuan, China.
