Monaco’s Hôtel Hermitage unveils redesigned suites

Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo in Monaco has unveiled new accommodation offerings as the historic property continues its phased renovation programme.

The 1928 hotel, part of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (Monaco SBM), began a phased refurbishment programme in 2024 aimed at modernising the property while preserving its Belle Époque character. The latest phase introduces 40 renovated rooms and suites, including seven signature apartments, alongside the opening of a new bar, Gustave.

Among the key highlights is the hotel’s suite collection, originally created in 2004 as part of the Hermitage Apartments. The area has been redesigned in partnership with architect Pierre-Yves Rochon and Monte-Carlo SBM’s original engineering and design team. The redesigned suites now form the Diamond Suites collection, with interiors featuring Versailles-style parquet flooring, Calacatta marble bathrooms and botanical motifs in an aqua, blue and beige colour palette.

Accommodation highlights include the Diamond Suite Princely, a 283-square-metre residence with three terraces overlooking the Port of Monaco and the Prince’s Palace. The suite comprises two bedrooms, a living and dining area and a kitchenette, alongside dedicated butler service. It can also be connected with the Diamond Suite Presidential to form a 434-square-metre residence with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and multiple living and dining areas, accommodating up to eight guests.
