Nominations now open for F&B professionals’ ‘50 Next’ Award

The 50 Next Class of 2022 will shine a spotlight on high achievers under 35 working  in all areas of gastronomy

Now is the time to recognise, support and nominate the heroes of the Middle East’s food and drink scene. Following the successful launch of 50 Next in 2021, the second edition of 50 Next ‘Class of 2022’ will “shine a spotlight on the bright young minds across the globe transforming the food and drink world”.

Organisers are requesting that people nominate potential candidates or that candidates apply themselves via their website. Applications close on Wednesday 22 September 2021.

50 Next is open to applicants from all countries and backgrounds who fulfil the following criteria:

  • Applicants should be 35 or under on 21 February 2022. If they are over 35, but starting a new career path and have no more than three years’ experience, they can also apply
  • Applicants should be working in gastronomy, or in disciplines that have a direct impact on gastronomy, including, but not limited to: activists, bartenders, chefs, consumers, craft beer and spirits producers, designers, distributors, educators, entrepreneurs, farmers, fishers, food and drink writers, non-profit workers, researchers, restaurateurs, scientists, sommeliers, tech creators, winemakers and more.
  • Applicants should be pushing the boundaries of gastronomy and tackling challenges from fresh perspectives
  • Applicants should have achieved results or shown clear progress through their work towards a particular goal
