Mandarin Oriental Lutetia selected for upcoming production
Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris will feature in season four of The White Lotus as the HBO series moves its production to France for the first time.
The announcement follows HBO’s confirmation that the upcoming season will be shot across multiple French locations, with Paris forming a key part of the production footprint.
Known as the only luxury hotel on the Left Bank of the River Seine, the property offers 184 rooms, including 49 suites. Originally opened in 1910, the landmark hotel features multiple dining venues, including La Brasserie Lutetia, Bar Joséphine, Bar Aristide and the Salon Saint-Germain. The wider Mandarin Oriental portfolio spans nearly 50 hotels across 29 countries, alongside a growing pipeline of new projects.

This will mark the second appearance of a Mandarin Oriental property in the show, following Mandarin Oriental Bangkok – the group’s founding hotel – which featured in select scenes in season one.
Earlier in 2026, filming locations in Saint-Tropez were also revealed, with Château de la Messardière selected for production between April and October 2026, according to Variety.
The mix of properties for season four marks a new direction for the series, which was previously closely associated with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts locations across Hawaii, Italy and Thailand.
Following the release of season four, featured properties are expected to see increased demand amid the growing ’jet-setting’ travel trend, where travellers seek destinations featured in film and television. After season three was filmed at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, Travel Republic reported a 412% increase in searches for trips to Thailand.
