UAE’s first licensed casino destination joins ultra-luxury portfolio
Preferred Hotels & Resorts has confirmed that Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will join its Legend Collection ahead of the integrated resort’s anticipated opening in spring 2027.
Its inclusion secures the UAE property a place in Preferred’s highest tier, alongside more than 100 landmark independent hotels worldwide that “set global standards for luxury and experiential travel”. The collection includes Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas, Macau and Boston, as well as iconic addresses such as The Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore, The Leela Palace Udaipur in India and The Mark in New York City.
Upon opening, guests of Wynn Al Marjan Island will be able to enrol in I Prefer Hotel Rewards, Preferred’s points-based loyalty programme, earning points redeemable for cash-value Reward Certificates, elite status and additional benefits at more than 650 participating properties globally.
Set on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, approximately 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 15 minutes from RAK International Airport, the US$5.1 billion beachside development is being billed as one of the most ambitious luxury hospitality projects in the Middle East. Targeting high-net-worth global travellers, the resort will feature world-class amenities, including the region’s first licensed casino facility.

Rising 362 metres above the sea, the 70-storey luxury hotel will offer 1,530 sea-facing accommodations, including 313 suites within Enclave, an ultra-exclusive address conceived as a “mansion in the sky” that occupies the tower’s uppermost floors and provides a “highly private experience” with its own guarded entry drive, exclusive lobby and just 15 suites on each floor.
All suites are designed with a residential feel, featuring dual in-room private pantries, and will be complemented by dedicated Enclave facilities, including a private reserve pool and beach along the east edge of the resort’s tropical gardens, with three pools, cabanas, bungalows and beach butlers offering on-demand dining.
Beyond Enclave, the wider integrated resort will feature 22 dining and lounge venues, among them Delilah, the iconic supper club from Wynn Las Vegas, and a French-American steakhouse from legendary chef Alain Ducasse, who has achieved more Michelin stars in his career than any other living chef.
A beach club, theatre, five-star spa with salon and fitness facilities, luxury retail spaces, multiple swimming and wading pools, a stretch of white-sand beach and a 98-berth deep-water marina will round out the leisure proposition. For events, the resort will feature Coral Court, a purpose-built venue designed to host weddings, social celebrations and large-scale gatherings.
Commenting on the announcement, Saurabh Rai, Executive Vice President of South Asia, Middle East, and Africa at Preferred Hotels & Resorts, said Wynn exemplified the “ambition and innovation that defines the Legend Collection” setting “bold new benchmarks” for ultra-luxury hospitality in the UAE.
Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 21 new members to its global portfolio in the last quarter of 2025, strengthening its presence in the Middle East with seven additions, six in Egypt and one in Israel.
