Qatar Airways restores 85% of network across 160 destinations

Qatar Airways has restored its network to 85% of pre-crisis levels, operating more than 140 daily departures from Doha to more than160 destinations worldwide under its summer 2026 schedule.

Following disruptions linked to the Iran war, the carrier has restored its network to 85% of pre-crisis levels, resuming services to Port Sudan from 2 July 2026, alongside Kigali, Seychelles, Marrakesh, Adelaide, Auckland, Osaka, Tashkent, Brussels, Lisbon and Prague. From 1 August, flights to Philadelphia, USA, will also resume.

The Summer 2026 schedule also introduces new services to Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, from 22 July, while Tokyo Haneda, Japan, and Helsinki, Finland, will both increase to daily flights from 1 August.

Qatar Airways recently created two executive roles to support its next phase of growth. Abdulla Ali has been appointed Chief Operating Officer to oversee operational performance and safety, while former British Airways executive Calum Laming joins as Chief Customer Officer to lead customer experience. Both will report directly to Group Chief Executive Officer Hamad Al-Khater.

To cater to travel during the FIFA World Cup 2026, Qatar Airways is also increasing frequencies to host cities including Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco, with additional flights scheduled to meet expected demand during the tournament.

The airline recently reported a record financial performance for 2025-26, posting a profit of QAR7.08 billion (US$1.94 billion). During the year, it carried more than 41 million passengers through Hamad International Airport and transported more than 1.43 million tonnes of cargo through Qatar Airways Cargo.
