Qatar Airways to resume US flights to Philadelphia

Qatar Airways will resume daily flights between Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) from 1 August 2026, expanding its North American network to 14 destinations.

The reinstated service will operate using Airbus A350-900 aircraft equipped with the airline’s Qsuite business class and Starlink connectivity.

 

Flights will depart Doha at 08:00 and arrive in Philadelphia at 15:05, while the return service will leave Philadelphia at 21:30 and arrive in Doha at 17:00 the following day.

 

The route is expected to strengthen connectivity between North America and more than 160 destinations across Qatar Airways’ global network via Doha. In the US, passengers will also benefit from onward connections through the airline’s Oneworld partner, American Airlines.

 

Since launching its first US service to New York in 2007, Qatar Airways has steadily expanded its North American network. Philadelphia will become the carrier’s 14th destination in the region, joining Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Washington DC.

The airline also recently confirmed the resumption of flights to Helsinki, Finland, and Tokyo Haneda, Japan, from 15 July 2026. Services will initially operate four times weekly before increasing to daily frequencies from 1 August 2026.

 

The carrier previously said it expected to restore services to more than 120 destinations as operations stabilise across key international markets.

 

Qatar Airways Group recently reported a profit of QAR7.08 billion (US$1.94 billion) for the 2025-26 fiscal year while carrying more than 41 million passengers through Hamad International. The carrier also transported more than 1.43 million tonnes of freight during the period through its cargo division.
