More than 100 hotels and attractions join initiative
Qatar Tourism has launched a new ‘Kids Go Free’ campaign as part of its ‘Hala Summer’ 2026 programme, as the destination ramps up family tourism and staycation demand during the summer season.
Running from 1 May to 30 September 2026, the campaign introduces offers across hotels, restaurants, attractions and entertainment venues, with children under 12 eligible for complimentary stays, dining and selected experiences when accompanied by a paying adult.
More than 100 hotels and resorts across Qatar are participating in the initiative, offering free stays for up to two children sharing their parents’ room, alongside complimentary meals at selected hotel restaurants. The campaign also extends to attractions and leisure venues, with participating theme parks, museums and entertainment operators introducing discounted and complimentary child access offers.
Bookings made through participating hotels will also include access to selected offers on desert safaris, marine activities and cultural tours via the Visit Qatar Wallet platform, which uses QR-based vouchers across participating venues.

The summer campaign forms part of a broader tourism push by Qatar to strengthen year-round visitation and expand its family and leisure offering beyond peak travel periods. The wider ‘Hala Summer’ calendar includes events such as Qatar Toy Festival, Minecraft World, Fontana Circus and Sneaker Con, alongside entertainment and family experiences across shopping malls and lifestyle destinations.
The launch also follows a series of new tourism and leisure developments across the country. In April 2026, Doha welcomed the opening of Nami Beach, a new waterfront destination featuring beach clubs, dining venues, private cabanas and family leisure facilities.
Qatar is also scaling accessibility and cultural initiatives as part of its longer-term tourism strategy. In early May, the national tourism board partnered with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work on autism-friendly tourism programmes and specialised hospitality training aimed at improving accessibility for travellers and families.
According to Qatar Tourism, the destination welcomed more than 3.5 million international visitors in the first nine months of 2025, with growth supported by rising long-haul arrivals, expanded air connectivity and an increasing calendar of leisure and cultural events. The country is targeting six million annual visitors by 2030.
