Riyadh Air adds fourth destination to network

Riyadh Air has launched direct flights to Cairo, adding the Egyptian capital as the carrier’s fourth destination after London, Dubai and Jeddah as it continues to expand its network. The new daily service launched on 25 June 2026, with a second daily flight introduced on 29 June. 

 

The outbound service departs King Khalid International Airport (RUH) at 16:10, arriving at Cairo International Airport (CAI) at 18:55, while the inbound flight leaves CAI at 20:25 and lands in RUH at 23:00. A second daily service departs RUH at 05:15 and returns from CAI at 09:30.

 

Return fares start from SAR1,814 (US$483) in Economy, SAR4,814 (US$1,282) in Premium Economy and SAR6,684 (US$1,781) in Business.

 

The route is operated by Riyadh Air’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, configured with four cabin classes: Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy. The aircraft also features Panasonic Avionics’ Astrova inflight entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity.

The service supports growing travel demand between Saudi Arabia and Egypt while strengthening links between the two countries. It also builds on the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by Riyadh Air and EgyptAir at Dubai Airshow 2024 to develop closer commercial ties and improve passenger connectivity.

 

The launch follows Riyadh Air’s first domestic commercial service between Riyadh and Jeddah on 14 June. Owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the airline forms part of Saudi’s strategy to diversify its economy through tourism, aviation and logistics, operating alongside Saudia as the kingdom’s second national carrier.

 

The airline is also preparing to roll out its Sfeer loyalty programme across its digital platforms, allowing members to share points, qualifying spend and selected benefits with family and friends. Founding members will also receive a Best Offer Guarantee and complimentary WiFi on eligible flights.
