Services launch 1 July 2026
Riyadh Air has opened ticket sales for its Riyadh–London Heathrow route ahead of the introduction of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, the airline’s new long-haul fleet, on the service from 1 July 2026.
The daily route between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) Terminal 4 will transition fully to Riyadh Air’s Boeing 787-9 fleet from July, replacing interim operations previously carried out using a technical spare aircraft during the airline’s operational readiness phase. RX401 services will depart Riyadh at 2.35am and arrive in London at 7.30am, while return RX402 flights leave Heathrow at 9.35am and land in Riyadh at 6.05pm local time.
Tickets for the daily flights are now available through the airline’s website, mobile app and travel trade partners. Prices listed on the airline’s website for departures on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, returning one week later, start from SAR3,404 (US$907) in Economy, SAR6,116 (US$1,630) in Premium Economy and SAR22,465 (US$5,987) in Business Class.
Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, said the launch marked a “truly exciting milestone” for the airline as it prepares to introduce its Boeing 787-9 onboard product on one of its flagship international routes linking Saudi Arabia and the UK.

The Boeing 787-9 aircraft will feature a four-class cabin configuration comprising Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy, alongside Bluetooth audio connectivity, USB charging ports and inflight entertainment content from partners including Disney+, HBO Max and Shahid.
The launch forms part of Riyadh Air’s wider commercial rollout ahead of full operations, as Saudi Arabia continues investing in aviation infrastructure and international connectivity under Vision 2030.
The carrier also continues to expand its digital and passenger experience offering. Earlier this year, Riyadh Air opened its first premium airport lounge at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh during its soft-launch phase and signed a partnership with Mastercard to develop a digital-first payments and rewards ecosystem.
Riyadh Air’s loyalty programme, Sfeer, will also be integrated across the airline’s digital platforms in 2026. The programme includes features allowing members to share points, qualifying spend and selected benefits with friends and family.
