Centro-branded property to combine co-working spaces and social hubs
UAE-born hospitality brand Rotana has signed a new lifestyle property in Hail, Saudi Arabia, marking its debut in the fast-emerging northern destination. The upcoming Centro Hail will feature 175 rooms and introduce Rotana’s lifestyle-focused Centro brand to the city.
Developed in collaboration with Alkhorayef Investment and Development Co and the Tourism Development Fund, the signing reflects the brand’s confidence in Hail’s growing tourism potential. The destination recorded a 170% surge in visitor numbers in H1 2025 and has become increasingly accessible following Qatar Airways’ recent launch of three weekly Doha–Hail flights.
Designed for both business and leisure travellers, Centro Hail will combine smart design with social connectivity. The hotel will feature flexible co-working spaces, open social hubs and contemporary interiors, promising what Rotana describes as “a contemporary, accessible and inspiring guest experience, setting a new benchmark for lifestyle hotels in the region”.

Commenting on the signing, Philip Barnes, Rotana’s CEO, said: “We’re excited to introduce our next-generation Centro concept to Hail, a destination that represents the diversity and growth potential of Saudi Arabia’s tourism landscape. Our continued expansion across the kingdom is about more than numbers; it’s about creating meaningful experiences, nurturing local talent, and supporting the national vision to build a sustainable, world-class hospitality sector.”
The agreement marks another milestone in Abu Dhabi-headquartered Rotana’s Saudi expansion strategy. The company now operates and manages a combined 25 hotels kingdom-wide, representing more than 5,600 rooms in operation and development. Recent signings include the Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah, a landmark 655-room property, set to be located just steps from Al Masjid Al Haram, the city’s largest and holiest mosque.
Rotana’s current Saudi portfolio spans Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Al Khobar, Al Jubail and Dammam, with additional projects under development under its Edge, Rayhaan and Arjaan brands in new and secondary destinations such as the mountain regions of Al Baha and Abha.
