Agents will be able to book immersive rural product with authentic local hosts
Saudi Arabia’s Dan Company has introduced Solan, a pioneering new hospitality brand designed to develop a nationwide network of farm stays and rural lodges, advancing agrotourism across the kingdom.
Operating on a franchise model, Solan collaborates with owners of farms, lodges and istirahas (chalet) in destinations such as Al Ahsa, Taif, Aseer, Hail, Al Madinah and Al Qassim.
Backed by Saudi’s Public Investment Fund, Dan Company provides these partners with operational training, business support and access to financing, enabling them to transform their properties into authentic hospitality destinations that combine local agricultural traditions with modern guest expectations.
Solan’s vision extends beyond accommodation, with each stay aiming to immerse visitors in Saudi rural life, offering opportunities to engage in farming, sample regional cuisine, and interact with local communities.

The brand is committed to sustainability, job creation and regional investment while promoting Saudi heritage through distinctive, experience-led hospitality.
To support long-term growth, Dan Company has signed agreements with strategic partners for financing and quality assurance, helping to ensure high standards and economic benefits for rural partners.
Solan will also offer ongoing training and monitoring to its franchisees, further embedding best practices in both hospitality and agriculture.
The first Solan pilot farms are set to be revealed soon, giving travel trade partners new community-focused product they can showcase to clients and opening up fresh opportunities in Saudi’s fast-growing tourism sector.
Abdulrahman Abaalkhail, CEO of Dan Company, said the introduction of Solan means the kingdom can now offer "authentic local experiences" that showcase the natural beauty and agricultural diversity of various regions.
He added: “Solan promotes sustainable agriculture while empowering farm and Istiraha owners, and local communities to help build a thriving future for the tourism and hospitality sector, strengthening the kingdom’s position as a global tourism destination."
