TourismX platform adds smart tools for operators
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has introduced AI Tourism Vision, a new national strategy aimed at transforming the tourism sector through the integration of digital technologies.
A key pillar of the programme is TourismX, a global platform that will serve as the sector’s digital infrastructure, alongside a suite of AI-powered tools for tourism businesses. Services include an AI hotel interior designer, hotel SOP generator, tour guide assistant, tour script generator and branding solutions.
The MoT has also launched the beta version of the Saudi MT App, bringing tools for investors, tourism businesses and tour guides into a single platform powered by AI assistant Noura, while the new MT Developer Portal will enable developers to build tourism solutions using ministry APIs.
The initiative is designed to enhance visitor experiences, improve operational efficiency and support tourism businesses, while strengthening Saudi’s position as a global hub for tourism innovation.

Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi’s Minister of Tourism, said: “Just as infrastructure reshaped economies over past decades, artificial intelligence is now reshaping how we discover destinations, design experiences and manage tourism services. This is why Saudi Arabia is launching the AI Tourism Vision to build a more innovative, efficient and sustainable future for the sector.”
The strategy builds on the Riyadh Declaration on the Future of Tourism, adopted during the 26th UN Tourism General Assembly, which called for the faster adoption of emerging technologies to shape the future of global tourism. It follows a series of other digital initiatives introduced by the MoT, including smart inspector technology used during Hajj 2026 and a smart check-in tool that helped improve pilgrim reception and accommodation management.
The development comes as Saudi’s tourism sector continues to expand. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), travel and tourism contributed US$178 billion to the kingdom’s GDP in 2025, up 7.4% year-on-year, reflecting the sector’s growing role in achieving Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
