Hotels, attractions and retailers join initiative
Sharjah has launched its Summer 2026 programme, featuring promotional offers, cultural events and family attractions across the emirate, alongside the new Sharjah Summer Offers 2026 campaign running until 31 August 2026.
The 100-day initiative will feature promotions and events across hotels, attractions and retail destinations throughout the emirate, targeting both residents and visitors.
Visitors can access a calendar of events through Sharjah Events, while attractions including Heart of Sharjah, House of Wisdom and the emirate’s network of museums will host seasonal workshops, exhibitions and family activities throughout the summer. Programming includes art exhibitions, book clubs, creative workshops, cultural heritage experiences and educational activities for children and young people across the emirate.

The campaign comes as Sharjah continues to record growth across its tourism sector. The emirate welcomed more than two million hotel guests in 2025 across 102 hotels, generating AED780 million (US$212.4 million) in hotel revenue, according to the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. Russian travellers were the emirate’s largest source market, followed by visitors from India.
Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) recently welcomed a record 19.4 million passengers in 2025, up nearly 14% year on year, supported by new route additions and airport upgrades.
New additions to the hub include the opening of a US$65 million Business Aviation Centre developed by Gama Aviation, further strengthening its premium aviation offering The facility features VVIP lounges, a helipad and a private jet hangar capable of accommodating up to 20 aircraft.
Sharjah has also expanded its tourism offering with the opening of the US$190 million Khor Fakkan Resort, a mixed-use beachfront development on the emirate’s east coast comprising hotels, residences, retail outlets and leisure facilities.
