Four weekly services to start from June 2026
Saudi Arabia is set to gain a new non-stop connection to Southeast Asia, with Singapore Airlines planning to launch direct Riyadh–Singapore flights from summer 2026. The service will restore the first direct link between the two cities in more than a decade, underscoring growing demand for travel between the kingdom and the Lion City.
The new service will complement two existing non-stop flights between Saudi and the city-state, with direct Jeddah–Singapore routes currently operated three times weekly by Saudia and Scoot, Singapore Airlines Group’s low-cost carrier.
From 2 June, flights are scheduled to operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN) at 18:20 and arriving at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH) at 21:45. The return service will depart Riyadh at 23:00, arriving at Singapore Changi at 12:15 the following day.

Singapore Airlines will operate the 8‑hour‑30‑minute route with its Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, configured with 303 seats across two cabins, including 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.
Commenting on the launch, Lee Lik Hsin, Chief Commercial Officer, Singapore Airlines, said the carrier’s return to Riyadh comes amid the city’s “thriving business environment and ambitious development, which make it one of the Middle East’s most dynamic cities,” adding that the service would "potentially allow us to work with our partners to offer our customers additional travel options across the region".
More international airlines are rolling out direct flights to Saudi as the kingdom steps up efforts to boost global air connectivity, with Delta Air Lines set to launch a three-times-weekly, non-stop Atlanta (ATL)–Riyadh (RUH) service from 23 October 2026. The kingdom is targeting around 30 new routes in 2026, with the upcoming debut of Riyadh Air expected to further accelerate growth toward its goal of serving 100 destinations by 2030.
To accommodate surging demand, Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has completed upgrades across terminals 1 and 2, boosting capacity by 130% to serve 14 million passengers annually. Meanwhile, the new King Salman International Airport is progressing through a US$30 billion expansion that will feature six runways and capacity for up to 120 million passengers per year by 2030.
